I genuinely believe that without the Wycombe players' reactions then that would have been given a yellow. Yellow card all day long for me.

    Yes. And we are;

Ismael: "The referee completely lost control of the game. It is never ever a red card. We will appeal it for sure."

I think they would be right in their assumptions Helen. If it was me, I would appeal.

Well given it was never a free kick in a million years I don’t see how it could be upheld.

Waste of time, take it on the chin and move on. We've enough quality to get through the next 3 games.

Appeal but expect to lose. Don’t feel their was any intent to go in 2 footed but still attempting the tackle off balance have the red a decision to make

I've just watched it over and over again.....he didn't tackle with both feet; it was v v clumsy but his right foot won the ball and their player did a full triple pike roll over.
Alex's right foot won the ball and he then picked up the ball with his left.
    Not a red.
    Appeal.

Not for me. Two footed and off the floor, needless. Their player rolling around after was pathetic though

I think the tickets for Wembley should be determined by responses to this thread - anyone who thinks that is a red card challenge doesn’t deserve to be allowed to watch live football again. ;-)

You can't dive in like that in modern football. FIFA, Uefa and the FA all want that sort of challenge eliminating from the game. If we appeal there's a decent chance he'll get an extra game and that would be worse

It was incredibly soft, but I can't see it being overturned.

Let's give Mowatt a well deserved rest for 3 games and let him come back fresh and determined for the last 6.

I think that's how it might be seen as well, but I'd rather risk that for the chance to have him for the two huge games Vs the dee-dahs and Reading

No, it's got to be deemed a 'frivolous' appeal for that to happen - it was such a borderline call, even the most blinkered arbiter couldn't describe an appeal as frivolous.

Fair point. Still might as well p*ss in the wind as no way it'll be overturned. Not for us anyway.

Would love to be wrong mind

Ben pearson did a 2 footer against us on saturday first 10 mins with studs....no one makes a deal of it....not even a foul never mind a booking...Wycome and their horrible antics finally paid off screaming and jumping up and down at every challange.
The ref lost the plot 2nd half...maybe for very soft penalty he gave us? Whatever the wycome players defo got to him.

My first instinct as soon as I saw it was "Oh God he's gone". I think if it was one of their players a lot of posters on here would be yelling "definite red"
