Could he end up with 4 matches if appeal fails and they say it was pointless appeal, or doesn’t it work like that anymore?
Yes they changed it a few years ago, appeals are to be made and the result of them to be published before the next game, no delaying of suspensions
Just seen the Quest highlights. The way their guy rolls over and over in 'agony' when Mowatt never touched him and clearly won the ball is truly pathetic. Too many refs fall for these histrionics. Grounds for an appeal I think. I get that you can't dive in two footed but that wasn't a dangerous challenge
I had a quick look at their forum and there’s lots of posts about us cheating or using gamesmanship which they see as rife in the Championship. Funnily enough not one mentions their player who was rolling round like he had snapped his leg but miraculously recovered when Alex got sent off.
He went in two footed, end of! I'll bare my fat arse on town hall steps if we get this red card overturned As much as I'm gutted for Mowatt you can't go in like that anymore. Yes, their player made the most of it but if an opposition player had made that tackle on one of our players then there would be uproar on here if he hadn't been sent off!
Mowatt card gets recindered .The other player involved gets a yellow for simulation in retrospect what it should be !
I thought it was very harsh but it was also a stupid challenge and I very much doubt it would be overturned.
I've just watched recap at the end during interviews wit Val it shows overhead closer view of tackle and I honestly wouldn't have given a foul. And then after their goal the way their guy fells dike he should have walked and then another half dozen of them , the way they were man handling Sibbick and Anderson
