Wednesday's draw with Huddersfield in midweek ended a run of 7 straight defeats. A loss there would have meant that a loss against us, would be a club record 9 defeats in a row. Oh well! Away from home, Wednesday have taken just 11 points all season. That's less than we've taken in our last 4 away games. Only Wycombe have a worse away record. They've won just 2 of their last 18 away from home, losing 14. Historically, the last 5 meetings between us at Oakwell have ended 1-1. The last 3 of which, we've come from behind to take a point. Our last league victory at Oakwell vs Wednesday was back in 2008, in a season where we recorded a double over them. Had matches this season been 45 minutes long, Sheffield Wednesday would be 12th in the table with 47 points. Coincidentally we'd still be 5th, albeit with much fewer points. Darren Moore likes to try and play football, which may play into our hands. I expect us to keep it tight in the first half, and the changes early in the 2nd half to do the damage. I'm going for 2-0, with Morris and Helik on the scoresheet.
I don't think they will be a push over. Played well against Norwich. Probably 4 or 5 nil to the reds.
Wednesday win 4-0 and BBS goes in to melt down. The thread ‘Why are Barnsley better than us?’ on Porktalk runs to a 1000 pages and Wednesday fans confidently predict finishing above Barnsley. Now that would be a bad weekend
2-0 to Weds. Why change the habit of a lifetime. Then a thread is started on here, "Why are Wednesday better than us?"
1-0 Reds, Wednesday with 10 behind the ball for the majority of the game, Dike late on, a thunderous 25 yarder
