I'd just stick Kane in there - he deserves a chance and has looked good the last couple of games

I’d put Kane in. He played well when he came on against Bournemouth.

Where did I mention taking our foot off the gas? I've only suggested two changes! It can be one game at a time whilst still taking a longer term view - and of course in Val we trust.

Any chance we can clone Styles so he can play in the middle and LWB?

You're not alone in your anxiety re Williams playing on the left, which can make it difficult for him to make a tackle and prevent crosses coming in from the wing. Oduor is certainly a talented footballer and good with his left foot, but I suspect Ismael does not have complete faith in him. I would stick with Styles at left wing back and just do a straight swap of Kane for Mowatt. Whatever Ismael chooses, I fear we are going to miss Mowatt massively.

    Yes please!

I think Williams was unlucky against Bournemouth. We set up better second half and didn't get punished for our mistakes which made Williams' performance look worse than it was (in my opinion). He's more than capable as a LWB or RWB and will be under less pressure against Wednesday.

Be the most interesting team sheet we've seen in a while which just adds to the interest of the game. Excited to see what Big Val puts together.

you said half an eye to next season. Suggesting we're losing Mowatt (who won't be playing if he's banned), also suggesting we're still playing in the Championship. This adds up to me that you're assuming we won't be going up.....

Nothing to do with not going up and all to do with Styles' future position. If Val thinks, like I do, that he has the same qualities and energy that Mowatt does as a central midfielder, it makes sense to use him there in these next three games and find out.

Whilst Styles apparently regards himself primarily as a central midfield player, he has been doing just fine as a left wing back, and I think I would leave him there. Central midfield is arguably the most difficult of all positions. It requires 360 degree vision. Styles may very well end up making a great career in that role and he may very well perform brilliantly there tomorrow, if that is where Ismael puts him, but I would leave him where he has been playing with distinction and just do the straight swap of Kane for Mowatt. Whatever Ismael decides, I am sure that he believes that Mowatt's boots will be very hard to fill.

Definitely. He could pick any three out of Williams, Styles, Kane and Palmer to play midfield with Brittain and I wouldn't grumble. I just hope he doesn't setup solely for ariel battles and start with Halme. Nothing against Halme, but Styles, Kane and Palmer are all better CMs.

Yeah that was my initial thought but I think Kane deserves a chance to stake his place

I know it’s a bit of a cliche but I’m happy to set up any which way VI wants - can see merit in going with Styles Kane or Halle assuming Alex isn’t available.

I think if styles was moved to the middle he,d have a blinder, kind of "play me in my natural position gaffer and thats what i can do" statement..

It's likely that we will see all of them (kane, halme, palmer and Williams) play at some point during the game. We know that val will not hesitate to juggle players if things aren't working. I would start kane and palmer in the middle and bring halme on if we need to defend a lead.

It’s got to be Kane for me.

I think it makes sense as he played well against Bournemouth & it means you aren’t losing two of our best performers from the positions they’ve been outstanding in but probably most importantly I would imagine Val will always want at least one of Mowatt or Kane on the pitch for set pieces.

Who's best at hoofin'? Put him in for Mowatt and by-pass midfield altogether. Sorted ;).
