If they didn’t have Bannan, they’d be even more tripe. He controlled the game today. Something we lacked.
Thought they set up well, Moore did well tactically. It happens. We have the international break and move onto the next. 8 games. Hopefully pick up 4/5 wins - should be enough.
I'm glad I didn't give em' any stick rod for own back springs to mind. I wish more people believed in Kama the world might be a better place.
They definitely deserved the win, so credit where its due. We had far too many players having an off day though. Particularly Styles, who I thought had his worst game for us. Dithered on the ball in all the wrong areas.
No credit to Wednesday. Two poor teams and we gifted them two goals they didn't have to work for. We had a few stonewall penalties turned down and there was nothing between the two teams. We wasn't outplayed by them. They just caught us on a off day.
They were marginally the best of two average teams today. Hope we've got the character to dust ourselves off and go again after the international break.
Agreed. They worked out quickly that our centre halves are very flat footed. Was surprised to see sollbauer start, as he kept getting done for pace Chalk it off as a bad day in the office. Move on, on the plus we still have a decent cushion between us and 7th place Well played to them, they won the battle
The opposition deserves some credit today. Clinical up front and Urhoghide had a tremendous game at the back.
I can't, I just can't. They never beat us fair and square. Very hard done by to have a penalty denied and a goal disallowed first half and they didn't outplay us.
Yes fair play to them. They won the majority of headers, outfought us and we never troubled there goalie credit where credit due we move on.
Im pleased about this thread ...not the usual wednesday bashing. They played us well today and succeded where many have failed. They played that ball over the top against our back 3 to perfection. Bannan was superb and so was their work rate. Congrats daz moore....we were very flat....hope we can pick ourselves up.
Can’t agree with that. Just because a couple of decisions didn’t go our way they still beat us fair and square. We’ve in general had the rub of the green this season. Don’t think it’s fair to say they didn’t deserve to win when the odd 50/50 didn’t go out way.
I can't treat Wednesday games in isolation. O'Grady elbowed Steele to head it in years ago and it stood, a blatant one whereas I still don't know what we were penalised for with that first half one. When have we ever had the 50/50s go our way against them? Yes I am bitter, but just cos it's them. I've nevet felt so positive after getting beat at home to Wednesday and overall things look great.
