The ref did not lose us that game, John parkin said on the commentary that the penalty shouts were some ya get some ya don,t shouts and we would feel aggrieved had they been given against us, we got sussed and they played us at our own game and i expected Val to change tac in the 2nd half but it never happened and they deserved the points, onwards and upwards after the break...
In all fairness to Val, he has admitted Wednesday were better and deserved the victory. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56383231
Although we were definitely below par and can have no complaints about the result, if the ref gives one or both of those decisions the other way (as he should have imho), then a team flying and full of confidence is a goal or two up against a side pretty much at rock bottom. I know who my money would be on at that point.. Anyway the run had to end sometime, nailed on it would be today. We’ll hopefully make the most of the break now and come back refreshed and raring to go again
Not seen game, but these are rules if it helps If play is stopped, the ball will be dropped to a player on the team that last touched the ball - and where they touched it. All other players must be 4.5 yards (4m) away. What that means is if a team's attack is stopped, they will get the ball back in that position - instead of the opponents booting the ball down the field. However, any play stopped in a penalty area will be returned to the goalkeeper, even if the attacking team had the ball.
I tend to agree,,, if vertical football isn’t working, get it on the deck and knock it abart abit. We’ve looked good on occasions when we’ve done it and would’ve out footballed them yesterday I think.
