It might do them some good. There’ll be no complacency, give them a kick up the arse, and throughout the international break they can reset, fine tune and look to get back to the previous performance levels. It was bloody awful today though.
Agree to an extent as expectations were raised and people seemed to forget that no game is won on paper. I had mates starting to watch us and they support other teams. We featured on the front, back and middle pages of the Yorkshire Post Sports section today. I hate it when we are seen as expected winners as like being under the radar/ best kept secret/ hidden gem/ underdogs!
Agreed, some of the comments on here after the Wycombe match were quite frankly embarrassing. You'd have thought we were already promoted! Big reality check for everyone today but the international break has come at the right time. 4 wins out of 8 should hopefully see us take a play off spot.
The only good point of that day was drinking real ale from the van in the car park outside the ground.
I doubt they needed a kick up the arse, more like they needed a rest. A defeat at home was coming though, the last few games haven’t been great. We’ll need to find a way of playing teams that are matching us physically.
Or even the Derby game, just a few weeks ago. That was a dreadful performance and we were very fortunate to get a point. 3 days later, we put in arguably the performance of the season to beat Bournemouth. I'm not worried just yet!
Ha ha ha. I’ve seen your posts moaning about the style of football and libelling the owners. These posts are in a long line of posts that show you don’t ever want Barnsley FC or the town itself to improve and recover. Far better for you to sit in London, thinking your **** doesn’t stink because you moved away and now like to do the town down on the most spurious of reasons. Like not being able to find a random ale. Seen any herons lately?
