will be able to get back and see his family for a few days with this pandemic. The guy deserves it and should give him a big boost.
Maybe, but what about the ten days quarantine when he gets back into the country? Or maybe footballers and staff are exempt?
He could travel to France which has relaxed its travel restrictions however he would have to quarantine on arrival back in to the UK with no exceptions for those in football as I see it. https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control/before-you-leave-for-the-uk
Or his wife could have brought the kids over here 10 days ago and they could be leaving their quarantine hotel next to Manchester airport today, excited about their first roast dinner and Yorkshire puddings!
Bit of a strange one. Also Do France or Germany allow entry without quarantine ( assuming that’s where his family live) All players on international duty are exempt. Assuming the players will all be in the bubble so to speak. Did Dee Kay have to quarantine for the full period. Didn’t Klopp have a problem with one of his parents passing away. Not able to attend the funeral. Cos of the travel ban. So highly unlikely I’d say.?
Klopp's problem was down to the travel restrictions that applied in Germany at the time his mother died. The German government had effectively closed their borders as I understood it.
You have to self isolate in France for 7 days. As far as I can tell. Forget that. That’s if you have not been tested negative 3 days b4 travel.
I’m due to return to UK in a week after five months in Spain. Before flying I have to test negative (€110) then on arrival quarantine at home for ten days with two more tests on day 2 and day 8 (that’s about £210 for the tests. So the restrictions are very much still in place. Nobody here can say I want to go to UK to see my family. Same from UK to Spain. I imagine VI will be in the same boat
Depends on country. Don’t forget Arsenal had to play one of their ‘home games’ in Athens when playing Benfica to make it work, due to restrictions on the Portuguese at the time.
He did say in his post match interview on ifollow 'now we can see the families' so hopefully he's been able to sort something out
