Good to read the piece on the official site re AM.
Pre Val he got some terrible abusive stick on here with predictions he would be gone in no time at all.
Well....he's obviously totally integrated into Vals Coaching Team and we'll done lad for sticking at it.

He will have leant a lot under both Struber and VI. Wouldn't be surprised to see him as our next head coach when Val moves on. Unless he takes a job on somewhere else.

He's a club appointment which means he doesn't come and go with the head coach. Perfectly reasonable considering our consistent "slot in" philosophy for high pressing coaches. Great for the players to have some consistency and great to have somebody who looks out for the club as a whole who maybe isn't part of a coach's clique.

Funny how all the abuse dried up when we started winning games and he was credited with a lot of the set piece routines that led to winning goals.

    Good on him.

Well put. I think having some consistent backroom staff is vital. It's right a head coach brings in his own assistants too, but having a few with the long term knowledge of the club, players, etc has to be in everyone's interests, especially a new manager.

Adam might have aspirations to be a manager one day, but he will only be better for working under some great managers in recent years & seeing where they have succeeded & where they made errors.

It was good that VI singled him out for the improvement in set pieces, which has been one of the keys to our success this season.

Said it at the time it was just sheep all following each other after one person called him a snake.

Even if he did tell the board Stendel wanted out surely that’s a good thing as it gives us time to get someone else lined up if we know the managers looking to leave.

I only recall one poster calling him a snake , one or two may have commented using the posters remarks as true . But most posters were shall we say cautious without the facts .

Don’t go on Twitter or face book tbh .
I signed up years ago and most of it was ok but some of it not for me so I gave it up,
That’s why I thought you meant on here , not surprised about the other formats though .

He didn’t tell the board Stendel wanted out.

It’ll all come out eventually. However it seems daft to start bringing things up like this whilst the club are doing so well. I’d understand if we were losing but not now.

And that’s exactly why I call them sheep. They were all at it on Facebook calling him a snake but never backed it up with any evidence when questioned.

When is the right time? It wasn’t back then, it hasn’t been anytime since & it isn’t now? Do we just have years of every time an articles shared by the club mentioning Murray of snake emojis?

If people want to bad mouth someone they should at least at least have the decency to say what their issue is with that person.

It’ll come out when those affected personally by his actions wish to speak about it, what he did affected someone I know in a bad way but I’ve never posted the reason on here as it’s not my place to do so. Look what ex players and coaches confirmed about Simon Davey last year, it’ll all come out in the end.

What was said about Davey? Must have missed that.

A lot by a few ex players and coaches mate, I think the videos are on YouTube. Think they were done by the supporters club.

I wouldn't be surprised either. Won't be too many coaches that fit in the club's criteria that they will be able to bring in. They were only able to bring in the last three because they happened before Brexit / transition period ending. So, if it's not Murray, I think it will be another internal appointment. Hopefully not for another season or so.

Always thought he got far more stick than he deserved, has been with us for a few years and seemingly not thrown his teddies out the pram after a couple of professional but not quite successful caretaker opportunities.

Got the impression that those calling him a snake / that everyone at the club had a problem with him etc were just parroting what others had said without any basis in reality to look ITK.

I've always been pleased with his passion. Was surprised when I looked him up just now that he'd not been with us a lot longer.

    .....but it's not daft GR.
People at the club, including lots of the playing squad, have had some serious stick on here when times weren't as good as now.
There's nothing daft about compensating for that by showing our appreciation now. Adam did get some serious stick on here....and even to this day we dont know why.
I'm certainly not going to make any negative judgement on him or others without the full story.
