Yes, looked like the defending my son used to do for the under 9s, just running backwards and forwards without actually doing anything. Cracking game though 3-3, very refreshing from the usual boring carp we get in international football - two well matched teams trying to win the game, minimum amount of shthousery and cheating - not what I expected at all!
The Polish manager will be aware of his workload with us this season so it was probably to give him a rest after nearly an hour of his international debut
I think it was to implement a more attacking offensive . The subs weren’t like for like and I think Heliks Replacement was a more attacking player. Although Helik seemed to have a wrestling match every time he challenged for the ball.

Good little piece on him here..... https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/pilka-n...sensacyjny-debiutant-niedawno-przezyl-gehenne Sousa speaks well of him too https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/pilka-nozna/930625/paulo-sousa-nie-boi-sie-ryzyka-najlatwiej-umyc-rece
I must have watched a different game to some on here. I thought for a debut he did really well and was unlucky to be subbed (it was like for like as well, Glik is an experienced centre half in a similar mould to Helik). I suspect he was only subbed as he had been booked and then committed a couple of fouls in the meantime so the coach maybe thought he was on thin ice. I suspect he will get another chance although he may have to make do with the bench for the rest of this window.
