Couldn’t disagree more, and I can’t believe you can come to that conclusion. I’ve read many posts on here wishing we would ‘get wise’ and play the ref better’ at times having a lack of ‘gamesmanship’ Also if Dike went down every time he’s fouled/ bumped into by a defender. Basically, our honesty and lack of shithousery this season has been bemoaned times many on this board and in other social media outlets.
I dug into those stats a little further. It’s true that we have committed 483 ‘official’ fouls. But the ‘actual fouls’ when you remove the Referee’s incorrect decision is actually.....6.
Some more stats to ponder: We've lost one game in the last 14, winning 9 of them. Since losing the first game of the season, we've only lost two games to teams in the bottom half of the table. One of those (Blackburn) were actually in the top half of the table when we played them. Since lockdown ended last June, we've won 23 games, drawn 11 and lost 14. 80 points from 48 games. Valerien Ismael's Barnsley have won 19 of those games in 32 games
Lies, damn lies and statistics. Where are the "throwing yourself on the floor when a red shirt comes within 10 feet" and "haranguing the ref over every decision" factors in these numbers?
I’ve put aside any bias and methodically looked through yesterday’s game as independently as possible and I’ve concluded based on fact that reading are an embarrassment to themselves, their sport and men in general for their diving wooftery.
