“Giz a drink o thi pie" a common phrase we used to use years ago when someone bought a pie at the well.
Meat and Taty pie and peas from the Oakwell Sandwich Shop is godlike, put plenty of mint sauce on and you have one of the great foods of the world.
Yes it’s all just garbage journalism designed to appeal to idiots that care what other idiots are saying on platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Nobody cares about stories or facts anymore, they only care about other peoples opinions.
Doesn't work on a Tuesday night when you've come straight from work! EDIT: OK, Oakwell Sarny shop is open.
Looks like that pie has been well over cooked but I thought the Pukka pies we served in Redfearns and which are served on the concourse were actually decent enough when cooked properly. (Might have tasted one or two leftovers during the years we ran Redfearn's )
I wasn't talking 'minimum' in terms of health and safety standards I was referring to gastronomic experience standards.
Had a lovely veggie lasagna at Middlesbrough VIP lounge, one season. Craig Hignett was compere- “another club very dear to my heart”- he said of us. & we won 3-2, Jason Jason Scotland smashing in the winner from close range. I think Jim O’Brien scored too. Followed by a sesh in a lovely village pub. Good day out that.
