Doug o’Kane tweeted about the last time we played Luton. Ritz and Ludewig were our wingbacks! Penny for the thoughts of Ludewig. Great for us last season and left early because he wasn’t getting the game time he wanted. He’s only played 6 times for Schalke who sit bottom of the league. Any ideas what’s happened to him? Is he injured?
Didn’t he leave because Struber left, effectively? I always thought he was a decent player. Much rather have Brittain, though.
I’m more curious as to what Jacob Brown must be thinking now. Supposedly he asked for the move to Stoke.
Ludewig was a key player in our survival last season. Britain's been great and is actually our player, Ludewig was only a loan. Sure he will excel again when he's over his injury, he's on young still.
They’re not keen on loans so I suspect the arrival of Matty James also influenced the decision to let him go. Similarly I think James in turn was returned to accommodate a possible loan signing of another striker that big Val was pressing for. Anyhow we ended up with DK. So if I’m right we’ve gone from Ludwig to DK. If that’s the case I’m certainly not complaining.
I was a bit of a tw*t to the club on here about cocking up the Ludewig loan and ending up with a replacement from MK Dons who had been released a few months prior and re-signed for them without being snapped up when available on a free. I'm delighted that I was completely wrong, soz lads. Although the Ludewig press release was pretty tinpot.
I'm usually pretty calm about players leaving, whether it's on their terms or ours. Part of football. Odd exception, e.g. Stones, Winnall. However as a Club we can control the comms that go out, and I thought the comms on Ludewiig were $hite.
I remember debating with you at the time when you were seemingly writing Brittain off without seeing him play. Well done for admitting that you were wrong though, we all are at some points. He is some player Callum.
I liked Killian and he played a big part in us staying up last year. I can’t do anything but wish him well. He’s not Callum Brittain though.
Nah Brown too lightweight and powder puff, not disappointed in the slightest when he left much the same as when Potts left!
