Thanks for that Helen. Certainly clears things up. Tough call for Alex but he should have stuck to the plan. I guess it won't happen again after he's had his ear chewed off by Big Val!
I said let Dike take it and tbh if he'd have scored and got his hat trick it would probably have been less of an issue. In some ways though I'm glad he didn't because I'd rather the lesson was learned in a winning game than say in a play off match.
Had someone else taken the penalty, irrespective of whether it was scored or not, there'd have been plenty on here complaining that we'd not allowed Dike the opportunity to get his hattrick. Still, penalties don't count apparently!
