The fee is agreed (if you believe Dane / BFC) so no doubt that will be triggered but the huge stumbling block will be personal terms. We can't match the majority of championship clubs in terms of salaries offered therefore I have no doubt Daryl will be playing elsewhere next season. I've already accepted he won't be with us and just enjoying watching him perform and hopefully he fires us into the play offs
Only one reason dike has come over here and that’s to put himself in the shop window and he,s certainly done that.
It's pretty simple this. If we don't go up, he's off. If we do go up, I believe we'll sign him as we will have 1st refusal and be in a far stronger position. Similar situation with Mowatt.
few reasons for me. a) we don't have £17m b) it would put us in huge debt if we borrowed it c) it would smash our wage structure and destabilise us spending anything like that amount of money on 1 player would be totally reckless IMO. no one knows the terms of this 'deal' we agreed, but as many people have suggested, if PL come sniffing, there isn't a chance we could compete. and neither should we try. only way I could see us signing him permanently, is if we went up. failing that, only chance I could see him staying with us next season, is getting him back on loan if a PL club sign him. one thing I am pretty sure of though. I don't think Orlando will see him play again. he's a wrecking machine. he's still so raw, only gonna get better.
