    Would have lost that game today. Not under Big Val though, we win them scrappy, tight games more often than not now. I have no criticism for him, his staff or his players; what they have achieved is incredible.

    Also, how weird is it when we win and it feels almost routine now? I don’t know what to feel any more.

    I dunno. I think I'd like to see us have much more possession in our 18 yard box. That's what really matters in modern football, no?

    I mean, who REALLY cares if we do one bad pass under pressure in our box and it leads to a goal that wins the game for the opposition? As long as we've played nice football in our half. Especially if it means we win the possession stats?

    And if the opposition manager says we did well and "play nice football and do everything right, but just lack the quality to compete", can't we all agree that that is the best we can expect at this level?

    Surely that's better than playing boring "lump it forward and win games" football?

    Do we really want to get in to the playoffs by playing a brand of football that Man City don't play? That Alan Shearer can't comprehend on MOTD? That even Neil Warnock gets agitated about?

    Why do people keep suggesting that the only alternative to our type of football is to pass it around at the back?
    There are other ways to play.
    What we're doing is effective but don't tell me there's only two ways to play football.

    The problem with this team is that there’s no banter. No JCR playing sweeper, Robbie Williams in centre mid, long balls to Michael Mifsud, Mads Andersen taking goal kicks, Brek Shea rodding the fans. They’re a highly efficient machine but there’s no comedy value any more, it’s not on.

    I don’t know Toby tried to add it yesterday but then settled to boring efficiency and Collins charging out has its moments

    I don’t mind our style and don’t want us playing in our own half but do get a bit frustrated when we are too rushed when under no pressure and slice it into touch or when in the opponents half don’t look and play the pass to a red shirt. We can play good football and do at times. It is harder against the poorer sides for some reason though
