Tomorrow I'm going to a funeral. A close friend of mine. 46 years I've known him. John Smith. Wednesday fan, and massive to boot. By way of his last wind up he's asked that people wear some blue and white when they attend.....in honour of him and his club. He has Arsenal fans as friends also so this is v deliberate on his part. What does one do in these circumstances?! He wouldn't have minded me asking you lot knowing that he could have one last humorous dig at us Dingles. Any advice would be gratefully received!!
I think in exceptional circumstances you can be forgiven...and on this occasion your friend needs a good laugh on his final send off.
He's your friend and he's died and his family's, friends and your loss are what's important. Football teams, colours, etc are irrelevant and unimportant. Sorry if this is meant to be a daft thread, don't see it myself.
I know what's important. The thread was created because I know he would have wanted to see the responses. we joked about it before he died (he knew he was dying)...... At the right time I'll pass on the comments to his wife who will be delighted to see them as we remember him together.
Decision made. Blue shirt. Blue and white striped tie. BRIGHT RED SOCKS!! Unfortunately not hooped!! Thanks for the advice.
