I never thought of that mate....why would you do that? Why? WHY?...oh and I’m not going to “like” that post...tha can go ballax
Bloody hell @DannyWilsonLovechild, he's virtually answered it for us, we could have saved having a thread about the West Stand "There are all sorts of things that would need to happen and they are very strict on you getting it done. There isn’t an exact timeline on some of the things, but it would be a major overhaul. Oakwell - as we all know - is an older stadium"
I have the vision now, you in Bermuda shorts, pink sunglasses and a Brek Shea top while drinking a Pina Collada through a straw being the proper fan boy. By the way did he mention the scoreboard.
Is it just pure chance or has someone chosen the photo shoot of Dane with something in mind - first thing I noticed on the photo was the seat numbers immediately above his right shoulder
If you’d said Pornstar martini instead of Pina Collada I’d have sworn you were peeking through the bushes...as you do
That is a strong possibility, but now ain't the time to talk about that. Enjoy the moment & appreciate the great work everyone at the club has done getting us where we are this season, VI, the players, the backroom staff, (Murray credited for the set piece work for example, but others that have brought the youngsters through also), Struber for keeping us up last season, the CEO & the directors for backing him. I've been a critic at times, as I'm sure we all have been, but this season needs to give credit to all. Whatever happens it has been a terrific season. We will be in a better place than we've been in for a while when we start next season in the Championship, or who knows, the Premier League, if we achieve a real miracle.
If we post our thoughts within a thread like that then those at the club can just look on the forum and save on the paper of it being printed off, unless you mean we email somewhere our opinion? Val said in the Boro programme the players and staff read the messages on social media
That's in relation to Premier League requirements which include all sorts of things, though I notice he remains coy about detail. I don't think PL requirements are that you must have brand new shiny stands though. if so, nobody told Crystal Palace, Fulham, West Brom, Burnley.... Some of Liverpool, Man U and Chelseas standa are older than some of ours. And I'm sure you'd agree. Having the riches of the PL and the chance of filling our ground change the game completely. If we're in the championship next season, spending multi millions on the West Stand is unlikely to be high on the agenda. Certainly until the elephants are asked to leave the room.
You'll be well pissed when they own the ground. Our West Stand doesn't even compare to those you've listed above, they're about the same age as some of those stands and that's it - the condition, well that's another matter.
I must be the only one who got excited that the accounts will be out soon. Seriously, how well is this club doing at the moment?
Why on earth would I be pissed? Truly bizarre comment. Good job we never got close to filling it really, isn't it? ;-)
True! Maybe I’m being old fashioned but I imagined it pinned up as a motivator. I’m sure someone can improve on the idea, it is back to the thought of showing our appreciation in a way which will reach them all. And I mean all as I mean everyone from Ismael through to the players, the backroom staff keeping them fit and not forgetting whoever made sure there was paper in the fax machine the night we loaned Daryl Dike.
Oh there will be some on this board who don't like it HF.......even though they might not say so right now. There have been plenty who have dished out lots of stick aimed at Dane and others. However some do post and recognise its been unjustified....and well done them. Others will just carry on being unable to find anything positive about the club.
Great stuff Dane. Thanks for that. All.joimed up from Top to Bottom and moving fwd. As HF has just posted.....what is there nor to like in that communication?
