    One thing that may be interesting is if UEFA do grow a pair and throw out the clubs from all their competitions and ban their players from internationals is how that leaves the players. Are they able to walk away from their contracts? I can imagine some players being a bit unhappy that through no fault of their own they are now banned from internationals - I know a lot would rather have the money but I think a fair few would want to still play for their country. Can Harry Kane for example claim breach of contract and sign for say Bayern Munich or Everton?

    I suspect this is going to be a legal minefield, and Infantino's speech just now seems to be one of conciliation. But then I would always expect FIFA to act in respect of money 1st and integrity and morality a distant 936th and 1071st respectively.

    Cricket had this in the late seventies early eighties with World Series Cricket. It was outlawed now we have the Big Bash and the IPL. It'll come one way or another. I think Uefa and the Premier League will back down because the clubs don't actually want to breakaway. They want to still take part in their domestic divisions. As always it will make the gap further because players will want to sign for teams in the European Super League.

    I think the Super League will become the pinnacle of European competition with the Champions League becoming the equivalent of the Europa League. The Europa League will be scrapped.

    Domestically the League Cup will be scrapped and the F.A Cup will return to weekends with no replays at all. The powers that be will back down to the big clubs for fear of losing them altogether.

    Money will win out in the end. The decision will be you're either with them or against them as a few extra teams will be invited to sweeten them up. The likes of Eindhoven, Ajax and Everton, Anderlecht etc.

    I think our social media posts yesterday made it very clear how we as a club feel about the matter. As does the EFL statement on our website.

    What the players share on their own social media accounts is their own business.

    I can imagine when the window opens if the situation hasn't been clarified (or if it is clear that it will affect international appearances), then some high-profile players will be moving clubs. Obviously this will be for a "better opportunity" or a "fresh start" or a "new challenge" or some meaningless reason, but it will boil down to the change in situation.

    Just looking at Liverpool, would Salah stay there if he was no longer able to play or and captain his country? At least another 11 of the squad are internationals and the world cup is next year. Would they be happy to miss it?

    I did say if - I dont for one moment doubt that some "compromise" will be reached which will result in a devaluation of domestic competitions and loss of revenue for the 90 clubs not special enough.I along with everyone else hope that the governing bodies take a firm stance on this but years of experience tells me the special 6 will still be playing premiership football next season

    They'll be signing the best players too. As top players will only want to play for the big six. Just pull further away from a pack that was slowly closing due to the financial parity of billionaire owners.

    Sounds good in theory but these Clubs are primarily businesses and with businesses brands are everything, It wouldn't surprise me if some of these Clubs haven't got naming rights on a number of permutations of the Club's name. That said, I'm sure I read somewhere that the Local Authority has first dibs on anything that uses the name of the town or city, in theory Liverpool Council could prevent Liverpool FC incorporating Liverpool in the their name.

    I would allow players to continue to be considered for international selection for as long as their current contract lasts, after that they have to decide which side of the fence they are on.
