It's unfair to punish the big six clubs IMO

The players and coaching staff were never consulted and only informed 2 days ago by all accounts.

When informed none of them have come out in support and many have opposed it.

To dock points or kick them out of cups will only hurt the innocent people. The fans, players and coaches.

The Parasite owners would still be free to do as they please.

There has to be consequences for their actions. To let this go without any recognition of what they have done would be unjust, they have all shown what they think about the Premier League and the teams in that league and all other leagues. Greed has been the driving factor and to just simply ignore this and their actions is completely wrong: hopefully they have reaped what they have sown

 

I think they all should be banned from European competition for 10 years , let’s see them attract the top players to play for them then

 

It's not remotely unfair - it really looks like some have cheated in their transactions with UEFA. However, in my view, trying to be punitive won't stand up in court.
Best thing would be to agree some binding rules for them to stay in the Premier League (by inference, with EFL). Obviously, over time, situations may change....

 

Large points deduction this season, plus a ban from European competitions whilst the current owners are in place.

And total reform to take the power and money back from the big 6. Hopefully something will come of this government review

there’s surely a difference between an entire club overspending, top to bottom organising and sanctioning rule breaking, and the fans supporting it in the hope of some success. And a group of owners attempting to make a financial deal with no knowledge or support from the staff, players or fans.

 

I agree, but those same owners were looking for a very big pay day, they deserve to be held accountable and if that results in their team being deducted points then so be it. Perhaps a transfer embargo, point deduction this season or at the start of next season would act as a deterrent in the future. They have sold their soul to the devil and for that they have to held accountable

 

We're not seriously expecting any punishments, are we? Football is run by a bunch of spineless idiots. I thought that was a given?

Could say the same about Wigan going into admin. That was all the work of the owners.

 

All (well nearly) the 6 clubs are releasing statements and backtracking big time. Woodward has said he's resigning from Man Utd at the end of this season.

And I'm still to hear one fan support their proposal.

Fans are always rewarded or punished by the owner's decisions. That's the downside of having the privileged in charge. But that's how it has to be. It's no different to how the self serving idiots in government ruin our every day lives. Sport is a metaphor for how pointless life is.
