I think we've played really well, and it's been great football. Should have done better with a couple of chances, should have done better with that final pass a few times, but overall I think we're looking good. Let's just get that goal Reds, COME ON!
Tight game, as expected. Solly & Morris look strong. Overall a decent performance. Woodrow has looked flat. Palmer has had a decent game. Collins on top of his game. Who knows where this will end. If we match Reading I'll be happy.
I know we had complaints about our keeper, but christ. 4 times I've counted 30 seconds and over with ball at their keeper. One hit just shy of 50 seconds. Throws in have regularly taken 15+ seconds. Or is it me just noticing it today when it happens every game?
Agree. Think he's great. He wasn't that great a footballer for us if we're honest, but really enjoy listening to him on this.
Less hoof. Even game. Mowatt off it. Hope Morris can last deep into the second half. We're again not pressing like when we were at our best. Presumably there's a reason.
Rather than time wasting for a point, I wonder if this keeps happening against us because opposition managers know we're probably the fittest team in the league, so slowing the game down and allowing constant breathers mitigates that advantage?
The same all season. Look at our GF and GD compared to Brentford and Bournemouth. Swansea are similar to us. We just don't score enough. We never batter people when we have the chance. Luckily, we keep it tight at the other end,
I'd like to see a bit more strength on the ball - seems a bit easy to muscle him off it - plus some better decision-making. But yes, I think there's lots to come...
Collins is time waster extraordinaire. But he does it in the last 20 minutes of a game when we're winning. Not in the first half when it's 0-0. I don't particularly like it when Collins does it, but at least I get why he does it. Time wasting for 0-0 in the first half is just mental. There's still 45 minutes to go that his time wasting cannot affect. But then footballers and intelligence were never great bed fellows.
