That Ajax player that came on for them looked handy and thank goodness he didn't start. Having said that though they were second best all over the pitch and, despite the usual wastefulness in front of goal from us, plus some lucky interceptions/blocks etc we were miles better. They could not have complained if we had repeated that 7-1 scoreline from a few years ago
Here in Holmfirth we are celebrating- red outside light lit up so our Town supporting neighbours can see! Scarlett can go to school with her head held high tomorrow. Get in you immense Reds!
Have a sneaky feeling we need a result against Rotherham, can’t say why as don’t know our record against them but never confident against Preston and Norwich could still need a point against us(although hopefully beating Reading week before will be enough).
As easy a 1-0 win as I've seen. We were better than them in every position on the pitch. The score line flattered them with all the goal line clearances. Michael Sollbauer was calmness personified & my MOTM. Calmness and class in abundance.
Disagree. We need it to be done. Not rely on others. Swansea are struggling to score goals. We've both got to play Norwich.
Get in. Better performance that by a country mile. Solly my MOTM consummate professional. From the minute he stepped off the plane he has been absolutely outstanding and has added the experience we so sorely needed. Morris tonight I thought was outstanding as well. That boy is a reight laiker. If he can attain full fitness then surely he’s a starter every game. How we only managed to score 1 goal though is bewildering. Would have made the game much more comfortable had we taken our chances.
We did. Last season. But couldn't get the results. Goals to shots ratio was poor. Look where we finished.
been saying for ages that Reading haven't just fallen apart. They've now attained 46 points in 35 matches. They've been a mid table team since last October
Well done Reds! Great result and thoroughly deserved. A couple of things to mention... 1. Last night proved that it's possible to play a bit more football, a bit less head tennis, and still win the game. 2. In the same way that Grandad's role was taken up by Uncle Albert in Only Fools & Horses, a career in showbiz awaits Richard Keogh. He's a shoo-in for Father Jack's replacement character, should Father Ted ever be resurrected. A crazier, more pissed up looking person, I have yet to see.
