Agreed. They won't make the same mistake next time. A bit of marketing and publicity and there you go. English football in shreads and a small number of rich owners get richer. The only occasions where we should let the greedy, plutocratic Americanisher schwine near the game in England is as players and maybe the occasional coach. When this absurd event was announced at the weekend I could almost smell the new sterility in the game staight away.
Not that many grounds are cashless (most will have a cash bar if you look/are in the right area) and you can hand your card in at the end of the game and get your balance back if you can be bothered waiting....so therefore I still have 5 euros on a Bayern Munich card and a 1 euro glass that I never handed back in for my deposit so, for those reasons I have to go back
Something has to be done now otherwise this attempt to form a league for the super rich will happen again. The circumstances that led to it are still the same so the greed merchants' rationale will be the same. It's no use thinking things can be back to normal now. Things wont be ok till action is taken to completely dissuade these people from doing this again. That could be anything as far as I'm concerned from fines, demotions, points deductions, transfer embargoes, new codes of conduct, financial restrictions, fan involvement etc etc. If the nasty six are just allowed to continue as normal and nothing changes they will try this again down the line and next time they will have down their groundwork better. Lets see what Johnson and the cronies actually do. I might send the PM a text actually...
Perez had spoken again, he still doesn’t get it "This format clearly doesn't work, so we thought that we could have a format where the most important teams in Europe play against each other from the very beginning of the season”.
They are still trying to make it happen according to The Times...... https://archive.ph/yWah3 Lots of jealousy there that we have the best league in the world.
Get on with it I say. And if it wasn't for the fans of the top english clubs. I'd say **** off and join em. Greedy b'stds
Hope it happens, having these big clubs as part of the pyramid does nothing for me as a Barnsley fan. All the money at the top just leads to financial ruin down the system.
Crikey. My record without doubt on the number of posts from a starting thread. And I can't even remember starting it haha
On one end of the spectrum we have Dragon Tyke creating a second thread for one of his own threads, then at the other we have you resurrecting old threads when nobody would have any issue with you just creating a fresh one. It's annoying as **** having to go through and find the newest bit.
They don’t give a monkeys about the clubs or the league they just want the dollar. No coincidence this has been getting pushed harder since Spanish clubs struggle to compete due to financial restrictions.
I'd just let the greedy gets go, I think its doomed for failure . I can't see tickets being anything than top dollar because that's the way that these clubs think, repetitive fixtures , can't see your average fans wanting it.
Let them go then ban them from all UEFA competitions and ban the players from playing fir their countries too.
Does the fans not going push them to go though? Might sound odd question, but these clubs are not going for the fans but for TV revenue, if more fans stay at home and sign watch at home does that in turn mean the TV revenue increases as more sign up?
