Yeah it shouldn't always be about money or capacity. It should stay at the Crucible forever with tradition not to be messed with. I would hate for a Chinese player to ever win it for the same reasons as you. Also probably for the whole of this century the experts have been telling us China will have a winner very soon, so I like seeing the experts be wrong. China are obsessed with Snooker and even teach it at school, so will see it as a huge failure that they haven't had a winner yet from such a huge country.

Didn't it move from Preston? Imagine how them poor Lancs felt when it moved to Sheffield in 1977.

Tbf, Ding has opened up his own snooker Hall and settled here. He deserves to win in my eyes. Snooker should stay at the Crucible for the world champs, it is the Wimbledon of snooker. And I think the players all feel the same, that pressure is unique when you sit virtually on top of them!

Ronnie isn't the player he used to be with only 1 world title in 8 years now, but it's still a good win for McGill. When Ronnie won five on the spin to start the evening he fought back well with a century break and held his nerve in the decider. Ronnie complained about fans being allowed so now he can go home to his mansion and not have to worry about it no more.

I’ll tell you when I think was the death of snooker. It was when un-snooker people like me could tell that players were throwing games to fill TV coverage times. These ‘come backs’ we witnessed happen once a flood, not in every final.

They were struggling to find somewhere to hold it. I think someone's wife had been to see a play there and suggested it would be a good venue?

That's right Helen there was a programme on TV charting the history of the competition. Carol Watterson wife
of the then promoter of the game Mike, went to watch a live performance at the Crucible and knowing her hubby
was looking for a new venue suggested he take a look and the rest as they say, is history. I've been to one final
and have to admit, it's an ideal venue. Only place I've been to that has a similar lay out, is the Royal Shakespearean
    Theatre at Stratford upon Avon.

According to Alan McMannus (ex snooker player and pundit) It's 16 years since someone came from 10-6 down to win in the 2nd round, and even Ronnie couldn't manage it yesterday. So it's not quite as common as you think.

No, I don't think he is but it'll be fun watching some good shots tonight, I'll save the safety battles for another night!
