I love it lol right tune think it’s made annoying by the terrible in stadium speakers that cut off at about 200hz making the kick sounds like it’s gonna burst your eardrums

As everyone and their dog (black) has had a go I may as well join in

I don’t particularly like Cocoon as a tune. It’s ok but nothing special. I wouldn’t listen to it at home....but ....
It’s part of Oakwell when I’m waiting for the teams and it starts I get a Pavlovian excitement and the anticipation starts to build. It’s been our tune for decades now and it wouldn’t be the same without it. I can’t wait to hear it again either next month or August. I don’t want it changed it’s ours.

As for age. The definitive pre match song purloined by the other scousers over at Anfield dates back to WW2(though nothing to do with it)

This is true, August will be even better, even more so in the premiership :)

But the first game back and a play-off semi final will still be decent, I'm hoping and praying we get in 5750 as well, 25% of 23,000. I'm hoping the capacity is full with each stand not being full...if you get what I'm saying!

I think it's already been set at just over 3700 - something to do with concourse size. Loko will verify....

There's some half decent suggestions in here, and some awful ones (I'd rather see us walk out to a compilation of interview clips from Steve Parkin and Nigel Spackman than Ecuador by Sash) and if we were to change it my vote would probably be for Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project, which is a great song for tension and atmosphere, proper goosebumps stuff:

But the thing is we shouldn't change. Like any other song this means nowt to us. Tastes are such that any new song will be disliked by a majority of supporters. Yes, Coccoon is a **** song. But at least it's our **** song and conjours up fantastic memories for everyone.

Nottingham Panthers Ice hockey team came out to Sirius. It’s very atmospheric and worked ok in an arena.
