Yeah, I had to chuckle. "Thomas Frank demands...". I can demand eggs for breakfast, but I won't get them.
I think VAR would help us, wouldn’t it? With the possible exception of last Saturday how many goals have we had disallowed from corners for non-existent fouls? We’re not sneaky or “professional” enough for it to work against us overall.
Still don't want it. It's a fast-moving, dynamic sport, not a forensic science. Besides, who wants to see Woodrow pulling his shorts up high and then getting caught offside by a pubic hair?
Personally think it should disappear from the game. Everyone was expecting very initial teething troubles, but for me it's just got worse since being introduced, not better. Goal line technology fair enough, but VAR is a shambles for me.
So he's indirectly saying the majority of the refs are dire, I agree. Not VAR though just better standard of refs
Do people remember Hamill scoring those two blinders in 2016 and how they celebrated at those precise moments. These moments are now being taken away from us slowly but surely.I just wish they would get rid of it full stop, but it doesnt look like it.
I'm in agreement. The fact they go to the width of a nats pube or a fingernail offside is the farcical bit If they use common sense, and only where it is clear and should have been seen I think it could work. If they are spending longer than 5 seconds pissing about, its not a clear and obvious offside. It's certainly useful for dives and off the ball incidents as well
