That's a very insular viewpoint. I have an interest in seeing how other teams do and how our ex players develop.
He's nothing to do with our successful season and I'm not sure why I can't have an opinion on both? You like him, a lot, it's clear. I liked him while he was here, but now he's nothing to do with us, just my opinion. I'm sorry it doesn't marry with yours.
He didn’t just stand there. He got down and kissed the turf. I was there with him. The bloke is superb and gave everything for the badge whilst here. Never had a bad word for us. He felt he needed to test himself higher up, and obviously earn a lot of cash doing so. It worked well for him. Hero. Solid bloke. What’s not to like? Hope he’s garbage for the next month of football like.
Well he was out of contract in the Summer, so in the club's case I think we do! You certainly can't blame the lad for taking that opportunity. I thought at the time that we would have been better trying to persuade him to stay till Summer as we were in spitting distance of the playoffs, but Whitey and others were adamant that you can't keep a player if he wants to leave. 28k a week can sometimes have a persuasive effect. [And yes, I didn't think he was up to much when he first came!]
Sorry I was more meaning to reply to those who said they were only interested in players when they were at our club and not bothered about knowing about other teams on the play offs.
I don't have a problem with anyone holding a different opinion to me and voicing that. If anyone doesn't agree with me, then I believe they should be able to voice it. Neither will I try and close their views down for having the audacity to hold them. I will, however, challenge who I want, when I want, when holding differing viewpoints. That's debate. That's freedom of speech, not freedom from criticism.
Absolutely. Not sure where you got the idea I thought any differently. I haven't said anyone is wrong for still caring about him, I've just said I don't understand why. You're the one hounding me about my opinion, which is weird cos you're normal really laid back!
You didn't think much of him in our promotion season, either! You claimed that it showed what a poor state we were in if Conor Hourihane and Sam Winnall were our best players, didn't you?
I'm still laid back. I'm not hounding you, just standing up for myself when holding the opinions I do. Just like you're doing.
I fecking love Conor and he is a club legend in my opinion. Love the bloke for what he gave for BFC and his affection for the club. You'll always be very welcome back at Oakwell Conor (other than these play offs where I hope you're shiite). Once a Red... I love BFC but I'd be out the door in a flash if someone offered me life changing money to go somewhere else and better my career in the process.
