To be fair Brush, if you left the road and illegally rode on a pavement then you can't expect to be instantly allowed back on the road the second you fancy it. Coming off the pavement onto the road is the same as coming out of a junction onto a road and you should give way until a car signals you out or there is a gap big enough that wouldn't cause a vehicle to have to slow.

Why do some birds hassle me when I'm putting food and fresh water out for them in the garden? The blackbirds are particularly vociferous!

Another one, if we win promotion, some of our fans claim we'll beat Derby's record of the lowest points total in the Premier League. However, according to others, if we DON'T win promotion, we'll lose all our best players, Valerien Ismael and be battling against relegation next season!
No matter what we do, we're doomed! DOOMED! :D:D

Great tits do this to me.
Got that many feeders takes about 20 mins to do them all, they don't half get impatient if I'm not quick enough.

Look mate. If you've had to come back for every item in my basket maybe hang around a little. Don't bugger off to talk to your colleague

No I'm the same. And when I do the pack and scan thing I always seem to have the random item check. I'm in a hurry, that's why I'm using this system!

A bloke I used to work with ended his sentences with "ish". Apart from being really annoying I had no idea what his actual answer was

No, I never get that. Once I get to the till I'm like greased lightning. I'm so slick that people at nearby tills stop to watch me. One woman told her husband, "Look how he's doing it. Why can't you do it like that? Why do you always mess it up and get red lights all over the place? Embarrassing, you are".

You wouldn't piss me off as long as you observe the highway code, same as pedestrians or horse riders don't. Some car drivers have a real sense of entitlement!

If they get pissed off that’s their problem, I’m always perfectly happy driving slowly behind a cyclist. In fact, I piss off other drivers behind me for not overtaking when there’s not a large enough space to do so safety and instead stay behind the cyclist to keep them safe. Once an old man behind me reached into his back seat and grabbed what I now think (hope) was his walking stick and started waving it angrily at my husband and me whilst going bright red in the face. He followed us for over a mile down loads of side streets after we’d waited for a cyclist to turn into a junction before passing it as there was no room. We genuinely thought he’d got a shot gun he was threatening with. I’ve never been so scared in my life.

Anyway, my point is, you can’t do something wrong (even out of kindness) and then get angry at other people for not being super grateful and treating you more favourably by instantly letting you out because of something you took it upon yourself to do without anyone asking or expecting you to. You can either keep doing it or not if you believe it to be a nice thing to do but expecting something in return makes it not as selfless a thing as you are making it out to be.

Why do people feed birds in the summer when they can obviously fend for themselves, and then in the same breath, complain that there are rats about? So they put poison down, thus endangering cats, hedgehogs, birds of prey etc. Whilst simultaneously patting themselves on the back for feeding birds that don’t need it.

We don't have any rats, never had in our 37 years living here. We've never put out any poison, as we don't like it & it's never been needed.
I'm going to continue to feed them, take great enjoyment from it. If others don't like it, tough. When I think of all the evils in the world, feeding birds in the Spring and Summer is nowhere near making the list.
