It might be many things, but it's (at best) incorrect to compare a racist apartheid regime in SA with that of segregation at a baseball match.
I think it reduced the chance of other (smaller) illnesses such as flu. The Chinese community around here have worn them around here for a long as I can remember too, presumably to stop the transmit of disease and for fumes.
Will be even more people flooding to Texas and Florida for a wholesome life then without prejudice. Only in New York (or California) would you see something as daft as this.
Is it not an extension of FREEDOM. The freedom to sit with like minded vaccinated persons, or the freedom to sit with like minded non-vaccinated persons. Admittedly it causes yet another fracture in an already split society, but I can't see why anyone would have an issue with it, unless they actively want to try and spread COVID to others. And as regards the comparison to HIV, i think you were permitted to have sex with a condom or without and the freedom to take a risk was up to you. What you weren't allowed to do is force someone to have sex with you with or without protection.
If the early stages of the HIV pandemic happened in today's authoritarian society, then sex with anyone outside your household would be banned. Oh - I forgot, it already has been. 'An extension of freedom' to separate people based on their medical status. And people accuse me of having a strange way of looking at things.
