Aren't total deaths down on the five year average and at their lowest level for five years? I'm sure that;s right. If so, you could fluctuate between zero and 500 every day and likely still be within the tolerance for it to continue to be true.

Also deaths with a positive Covid test. Not deaths because of Covid.

But how many actually died from covid? 39 could have died in an RTA and only 1 from covid. Numbers eh?

Exactly, and getting hit by a bus but returning a positive test for covid, classed as a covid death. Crazy.

No idea, just showing that you can dress figures up however you want.

And rightly so. Not that it will always be accurate but remember when they were included as well? So any positive Covid test ever was classed as a 'Covid death'.

The government do, hence the recording all deaths as covid within 28 days of a positive test

Yes, although i'd likely still be wearing my mask and would be resisting bouncing around others when we score.

If someone died because of covid, they should be included. Whether they died after a day or 365. Just that.

What this government do isn't the measure of how it should be done effectively, and that goes for just about everything. They've manipulated, overstated, suppressed and exempted data in many ways.

If they'd been accurate and transparent from the start we may not have the amount of deaths we've had.

To be fair, it’s not ‘rightly so’ that people who die 100% definitely of Covid after being on a ventilator for months aren’t included is it? That’s just daft. Just like it’s not right to include people who definitely died from being run over within 28 days of a positive test and is also daft. Not that I have a better system.

Absolutely agree. It should be cause of death that is highlighted. Which is why the positive test or no positive test is almost irrelevant and as a data set has caused exponentially fear amongst a lot of people.

I think a large majority of the population would go back to normal immediately if restrictions were lifted.

To be fair, I think seeing people unable to breathe has been the cause of fear and reasoned caution. But we all have different circumstances. My wife has been vaccinated and the recent studies for her group show it's pretty much useless. I think it said it had between 3 and 6% efficacy from the trials they'd conducted.

So while others are chomping at the bit, I'm more than happy for them to crack on with it.
