They’ll soon realise what a ******** they’ve made when people with benefit and pension worries and financial judicial problems turn up at the surgery’s and can’t get in for the folk looking for tax dodges and favours for govt contracts .

There’s no way Rishi will be elected leader.

Have you seen what the membership of the Tory party looks like.

Come round our house when me and the kids are discussing their reaction to local Labour Party meetings.
Also not the first time I’ve posted about this, hope that helps.

Mixing up vote numbers with %s is the work of idiots.
It’s what Trump did, Corbynites playing the same game makes me ashamed to be supporting the same party.

Ok then they massively increased the % share as well. Either way it was a massive improvement on the two previous elections

    Oh dear
Do you want to have a look?
In 2017, JC managed to increase the Labour vote by less than half a percent compared to 2015.
He managed a couple more percent in 2019, but the Tory vote percentage increased by even more.

JC is not the messiah, he got 2 shots at a general election, which is 1 more than most losers get.

If you don’t move on you’re going to start looking as pathetic as the flag ******** dreaming of a golden past that doesn’t really exist.

So the Tories put forward a system where the PM and the cabinet all went to public school. Where they monetise a pandemic by awarding contracts to their mates. Where they refuse a decent pay rise to the people who fight the pandemic. Where lies, bullying and deceit are common currency. Where greed is good and the bodies pile up.
And Labour can’t put together a credible alternative that people will vote for?

Oh dear. You genuinely think it’s Corbyn supporters who can’t let go of the past?

It’s the centre of the party constantly bringing his name up & failing to own up for their own inadequacies. Still blaming Corbyn, still not accepting they got Brexit wrong.

Why’s Peter Mandelson giving interviews in 2021 blaming Corbyn when the Labour candidate even said no one on the door step were talking about Corbyn. Why’s he even been interviewed without his buddy Epstein been mentioned?

No ones arguing Corbyn is the messiah but you can’t keep blaming him for everything when centrists lost the two elections before him & are making things worse now they’ve took over again.

Starmer needs to stop purging the left, stop insulting the intelligence of leavers & unite the party. He only had to follow his pledges that he lied about & things wouldn’t be anywhere near as bad.

    That’s my real life :)

I know lots of Labour supporters and activists and frankly it’s getting pathetic. When was the last time you heard a Labour Party discussion about workers rights?

The clue is in the name; they’ve lost their way, when ‘leftie’ kids turn their back on JK Rowling who’s been a socialist her entire life, because she dares to suggest that equal rights for women still need to be considered when discussing Trans rights.

When David Baddiel is attacked for pointing out that Anti semitism is an accepted and ignored racism.

And just this week, when Tony Robinson lifelong member, who left the exec over Iraq, is attacked because he dared have a negative opinion of Corbyn.

it’s a cult, it’s unhealthy and the saddest part is this. JC was a thorn in the side of the ‘Labour machine’ for decades, he often worked against the leadership, but he was largely ignored, left to get on with it. But as soon as he became leader, any criticism of the leadership became a war that had to be won. How anyone can see that as healthy baffles me.

He's won over the millions who either work in or use hospitality as he's pretty much ruled out vaccine passports for the pub.

Remind me again how many Blairites were expelled from the party or MPs deselected or selection shortlists withdrawn at the last minute for preferred candidates to be imposed . Paranoid deluded Blairites

I'm 35 (well off being a kid), and my friends and I chat about workers' rights all the time! I've just been out in a couple of pubs tonight and we talked politics for most of it. We all shake our heads at JK Rowling, nobody's really mentioned David Baddiel (although I caught him on R5L talking about his book and I thought he made some interesting points), Tony Robinson is obviously an extremely rich right winger and Jeremy Corbyn is, on the whole, a pretty good guy. This is normal stuff for a lot of urban seats, and not at all cultish. We're all natural Labour voters who thought that Liam Byrne was a joke candidate, so didn't vote for him. We don't particularly like flags,

As I said way up above in this thread, we're just as working class as the Brexiteers. We want higher wages and lower rents. We know our politics and want a socialist government. But given that we can't have that because the boomers all think it's "bad economics", it might be kind of nice to just have the chance to own a house at some point in the future.

In the meantime I'm sure that any one of us would love to come to any workshop that the party might hold.

This thread is a perfect example of why we've got Boris.
"Tory lite", "Blairite", "Can't ever trust the Lib Dems", "climate hysteria of the middle class greens". etc,etc
While the left and left of centre fight amongst themselves about JK Rowling and who has the most valid socialist credentials and who are traitors to the cause instead of uniting in opposition the majority of the population aren't interested in your squabbling and the Tories are laughing their f**ing heads off.

Tony Robinson has always been a Labour supporter as far as I'm aware.

I agree to a certain extent. I think too much time is spent discussing minority issues but I don’t agree about them been cultists or Corbynites. For me these people are left wingers & socialists who’ve found a voice largely due to twitter.

I don’t think they’re going anywhere even when Corbyn eventually retires.

The two sides have to learn to co-exist or we aren’t getting elected. In much the same way centrists think these people are ridiculous for the issues they bring up these same people probably think it’s ridiculous when centrists support bombing Middle Eastern countries.

I don’t know how it changes though. We’ve had 5 years of every little thing Corbyn or his supporters do or say getting scrutinised & twisted & now they’re doing the same back. I don’t want them to do it but I can’t blame them for doing it.

If you’ve got David Baddiel talking about racism when he caused Jason Lee mental health issues with his black face ‘comedy’ then he’s naturally going to get a lot of people telling him he’s got no right to talk about the subject.
