Well looking it at all from a bloke who has voted (Blair) Labour before but has never voted Tory : As was apparently traditional, an extreme left of party candidate stood in the election for leader. It was Magic Grandpa's turn, and he needed sympathetic help to get enough MPs to enable him to stand. Then, because we're (still) overwhelmed with populism rather than common sense, he hit a chord (good for him, plus Farage and now Boris for managing it to their own ends in the same way), and we're left where we are now. Left and right. Dumb and dumber. Politicians.
The mental gymnastics to avoid blaming bland Aaron burr impersonator sir Kieth and his lack of principles, vision, charisma by some is absolutely fascinating. PS the best gains were by those that identified themselves as socialist in values. si thi
It's going to be a reshuffle which means people will move about and take up new positions. Rayner will be offered a different position she hasn't been sacked. Labour need their best people in the best positions.
Yep, I'd agree with you there. If that comes to pass he will be somewhat friendless. It would have looked a better move to promote Lisa. "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer", and all that!
She's been sacked as party chair. But you're right. Labour needs its best people in the best positions. The current Leader should go.
I swapped jobs once within the same company I don't remember receiving a P45 before I started my new role.
A shadow minister source has confirmed a reshuffle is under way in Labour's shadow cabinet, and that Ms Rayner has been offered a significant new role.
She's been sacked buddy. As party chair and campaign coordinator. That's the last time I'll say it. But you feel free to dress it up if you like. "I'm changing the things that need changing, that is the change I'll bring about." Sir Keir Starmer
It won't be long before Labour Party Ward and CLP meetings start again and then Starmer will be getting lots of no confidence votes. I can't see him lasting 6 months. Starmer out.
Anneliese Dodds going as well. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/...a-rayner-as-labour-party-chairwoman-0zbls9dm0
I don't think you understand what a reshuffle is.... You don't have to keep saying it I'm not dressing it up I'm describing exactly what's happening. Do you know what position she has been offered or what conversations went on before she was offered a new position? You can't say someone has been sacked when it's simply not true.
Starmer was educated at Leeds Uni we had the same graduation ceremony in 1985. He only did 12 months at Oxford as a postgrad student. I have an intence dislike of the man.
