    Too many badly run clubs who have been at it for years will try and get out of it by bringing up a year of covid.

    So wants to be given leeway for a situation that every clubs been hit with and then tries to say it’s not fair that other teams have parachute payments.

    “If we cannot use our resources, how is that fair? How is it fair against teams with parachute payments?”

    I hope they get the book thrown at them. It’s the only way clubs will actually self govern.

    So if I’ve read Mr Paunovic’s quote correctly he is asking for special dispensation for Reading FC because they cheated the FFP for years but this last year tried not to cheat as much and because the reduced level of cheating almost got them into the play offs the rules should be changed.

    WTAF - all that is wrong in football quoted in one interview.

    Eff em. Give em the 12 points that the rules state and then go after every other club who flout the rules!!

    They were always a third division club when I was growing up in the 80's and early 90's averaging around 5k fans. They're just a dull nothing club that had a few decent years because of that auto trader bloke.

    If only he had read this forum on August 5th last year. The situation was debated with some clarity.

    It was quite clear they were in trouble then, they needed to make £12m profit to meet FFP rules. Unfortunately they lost £40m.
