Lovely free kick by him yesterday to get a goal. He seems to have done well over there after his struggles with us. It would be easy to say we will sell him this summer but Big Val likes to give people a chance when it looks like they don't have much of a future with us (Sibbick for example) so maybe he will want a look at him first. Could still be a player in him and the loan might have worked wonders for him like when Mowatt got sent to Oxford.

Val's no fool. I doubt he'd dismiss a player without seeing them in the flesh. Who knows? Good luck to him. I hope he comes back and plays how he has on loan.

To be honest I always thought there was a player in Sibbick, but making something out of Ritzmaier would be the most astonishing act of turd polishing since Gareth Williams was brilliantly (but sadly very briefly) turned into a prolific striker!

It was. He's done well there as a first team regular and for a team clear second in the league.

VI certainly is no fool. He's proved he can spot a player who's going to play his system. In Val we trust :)

Its down to the coach what he wants and I'm sure he'll take a look before deciding and probably knows a fair bit about him already. I think what we've generally found with our multiple Austrian punts is that someone can look a world beater in that league but be nowhere near championship standard.

Knasmullner, Schmidt and Ritzmaier either didn't get a chance or didn't positively impact games when they did.

I think Ritzmaier was made a scapegoat by a lot of our fans despite frankly not really playing any worse than any other player.

People said the same **** about Andersen and look at him now. When fans make a player a scapegoat, that player often plays worse as a result of that.

There's clearly at the very least a decent player there.

Moon did a good job instead of mowatt against the canaries and it was his first start, he can only get better.

I could see the potential with Mads and Toby but never really with Ritzmaier.

I trust Val’s judgement though if he wants to take a look at him. But I’m guessing we’ll sell him in the summer.

Hopefully this will stick a few thousand quid on his price for when we hopefully sell him.

We've had worse players at the club for sure, but never one that was trusted with such a big role in a side.

Theoretically could Ritzy return from his loan and be part of our play off squad?

    Asking for a friend

No. He can't play for us again until the next transfer window. That's why Sibbick had to wait a few weeks after coming back, before he could play.

I think Andersen would have spells of good play, followed by the odd, very expensive, brainfade. With Ritzmaier, he just didn't get involved in the game enough, or in some cases, at all. It didn't help that for some games, we were pushing Mowatt deeper to accommodate him.

I think next season will be the last year of his contract, so if a club comes in for him, we'll accept. Otherwise, I'm sure Ismael would give him a fair chance and take a look at him in pre season. Same for the other players out on loan.
