I love the fact that Barnsley have glory hunters Ian, you're the exception to the rule! Is it your semi final tonight in the cup?
It took me a few seasons to actually become a Barnsley supporter. Even though my first game was 94/95. It was only in the 95/96 season I started following results and listening to matches on Hallam FM. It was also only then I started feeling it when they lost or threw leads away. I knew Barnsley had become my first team.
Oh how dare you insult me. I’m livid. We lost our cup semi to Hibs on Saturday and tonight’s game is a play off game involving Raith Rovers and another insignificant team who play in dark blue who I refuse to name.
Back in the 60s when we were garbage, everyone at school had an affinity with a bigger club. It was mostly Liverpool, Leeds or Man United. I was a fan of Don Revies Leeds (as well as Barnsley) from about 1963 to 1967 - apologies. As a teenager I started going to Barnsley away games with my mates and there's been no 2nd team since. However for my crime, I still get Darren Gough type jibes on rare occasions even though I've had a season ticket for 30 years. I was at Ipswich first game of the season only 2 years ago and someone shouted across "What tha doing here tharra Leeds fan".Once a scab always a scab
My mates call me the the Ponty Puff because I'm from West Yorkshire and they can't get their head round why I support Barnsley.
Can't believe this mate... I think numerous drinks will have to be purchased as recompence next time you're down
I saw that on Twitter and for some reason didn’t make the connection that it was obviously Oakwell. I was too busy thinking about letting a kid touch something in a pandemic that all the players have been kissing and passing around between everyone and their aunt.
You can wipe his hands afterwards. Plus, you know that everyone touching it will be negative for COVID.
No awkward Hooky more embarrassing when being mistaken for that other lot. Although the way we have been playing recently I have to admit it’s very easy to understand how Helen made that error.
