I think I speak for just about all the football world when I say good on them - hope they get Derby relegated Dont hold much hope though
Where is that reported? Their official message today said this... 'The club trusts that the correct decision will be reached by the independent commission which has been appointed to judge Derby County’s case. We respect the process and are not contemplating legal action at this time, contrary to media speculation.'
I’d love us to back them in any way we possibly can too. I really hope they win their battle and WRDC are sent down with that club up the road. But unfortunately I can’t see anything getting overturned.
Wycombe's budget in league 1 was 22nd out of 23. After a really Bad start they've been heroic this season. They won 3 of their last 4. They just deserve it more than Derby on moral grounds!
Good on Wycombe. I really hope they are successful. There should be no place for cheats in football. Time for the football authorities to man up
Imagine if it comes off. The last day was all set up as a shootout between Wayne Rooney's Derby County, the Massive Sheffield Wensdahhh, and the plucky under dogs Rotherham United. They all fell over each other, and at the end of the day, Derby were the least ****, just. Nobody mentioned Wycombe then, who won 3-0 on the final day by the way. I've even seen Rotherham fans wanting Derby relegated so they stay up instead, ignoring the fact that Wycombe actually finished 22nd. So if this comes off, and Wycombe actually stay up, and their fans can go back to stadiums in August, and witness championship football first hand, for the first time... It would be ******* brilliant.
Really hope Wycombe survive, the parallels between their situation and our situation this time last year are uncanny. I really believe the only reason we weren’t screwed over by the EFL were that Paul Conway set his stall out loudly and early about legal action, and in the eyes of the EFL ,it was two small teams so they weren’t that bothered either way. Let’s see what happens now it’s one of the ‘bigger ‘ teams in Derby that face sanctions.
It’ll get dragged out so it’s too late to apply to this season - should just be a rule that applies them immediately.
I hope they are successful but it's very unlikely. Derby are a big club and the EFL have shown a tendency to look after them.
99% it won't get overturned. Same as last season when Wednesday should have had 12 points deducted but managed to get it moved over to the following season..... How did that turn out
penalty will definitely apply to next season, as was wendy's , it's different to the wigan situation no doubt a 12pt deduction reduced to 6 will apply too efl are trying to do their best in over spending but guessing lawyers are earning decent coin in these times to argue enough to delay the inevitable giving another season to fight their way out of financial ruin, wendy failed but derby are smarmy tw@ts who will end up mid table next season wycombe will suffer more
Just found this online. A summary of the terrible state Wayne Rooney's Derby County are in. Derby County: When Survival Isn’t Quite Survival | Twohundredpercent
Wow ! It's like some mafia controlled enterprise. Who'd want to be part of that setup if that article is to be believed. I only hope that BFC does not have this sort of shenanigans beneath the surface. Sadly though top, top "businessmen" tend to flourish by squashing the little people so I hope BFC is not a means to an end for our owners. The whole thing creeps like a spiders web out into the murk of corruption where quite frankly I would fear to look, but hopefully not with BFC.
If I was a Derby fan, they wouldn't be getting another penny out of me. Same goes for Wednesday too. It's one thing supporting your team through thick and thin, but some of these club owners are just taking the piss. When the off-field antics completely overshadow the football, it's time to call it a day. Glad we're not like that.
Reading that there has to be some right fiddies going off in game more than we could possibly fathom.
