I have to say, the prospect of us booing the players, before the game even starts, hadn't even entered my head. Still kinda doesn't compute that this could even happen. I would be angry, shocked, mortified, embarrassed, all at once, if it did. Just think about that. Our first game back after 15 months. In a play-off semi. Ticketed through a ballot. And someone thinks it's appropriate to boo our own black players before a ball is kicked. Just the idea of it blows my tiny mind.
I've only spoke to one! Coincidentally a couple of days back. He's moved up here and was with his missus and family. Thoroughly nice blowk who readily admitted he's seriously considered stopping supporting his own team but doesn't want to let 'the others' win so to speak. He was next to that area in Wembley and walked off in the opposite direction and left the stadium.
You've made this character up. I don't think he exists. I think it's a parody character for your next zine.
Tiz true my friend. I'm not daft enough to think he's the rule rather than the exception. Bout our age and had a good chat with him. Loves it up here and wishes he'd have moved 20 years since. He's going to start going to Oakwell when Millwall aren't playing up North.
You'd like to think there's no way it would happen but I've definitely seen a few people who said they would boo or turn their back if the players were doing it and they were there. Whether they're all mouth or not I don't know but there's a chance some of them could have tickets.
I don’t think there’ll be any booing tbh , the fans will be too busy cheering the lads on ,but if there is it should be easily identified who the culprits are with the allocation system nd I would hope these would at the very least be left out of the Wembley draw should we get there .
Problem is that even if there are only 3 or 4 they will be heard. I would hope that the remaining 4,000+ would render a massive SSSSHHHH to drown them out.
If there is booing going on when the team takes a knee by Barnsley fans then these fans want naming and shaming on media outlets like this one for example.
