One of the worst aspects of social media is the way it encourages people to only interact with people who share the same opinions. I don't agree with everything you say about lockdown (though Indian variants aside it's looking increasingly good for relaxing the rules), but I'd rather be part of a forum where people have different opinions than one where you get hounded out for not agreeing with the group-think (so long as you're not a Massive), so I hope you don't delete the account.

Dunno what's gone on mate but there's no need to take anything too seriously on here. The internet is big place but there aren't many corners of it as great as this one. Occasionally tempers fray (mine has once or twice) and the odd post can be seen as offensive but on the whole the regulars on here are an inclusive bunch. If you do leave then all the best, if not, enjoy the banter and the serious debate.
Yes, and exclusive bunch when it comes to football but maybe not when it comes to political/social threads. A lot of abuse/nastiness found on these threads - people bullied off - if they don't toe the line.
He’s hardly been hounded out though. Say what you want about the BBS but there’s no shortage of dissenting opinions on just about every topic. As far as I can see he’s not responded to anybody or tried to debate, argue, share opinions at all. He’s just spouted off in every thread then got pissy when people pointed out that he’s doing nothing but spouting off relentlessly in every thread.
Yeah, I should have added... the hounding out comment was not directed at this forum. As far as I can see people have done the exact opposite - disagreed with his opinion, but encouraged him to stick around. I've only been posting here a short while but what I've liked about it is the fact people can feel comfortable disagreeing with each other.
I like a lot of the posters on this forum. That said it's important that the majority will remain faceless people with no baring on my everyday life. It's good to be liked but if people don't like me that's their bag. I'm not going to go home and cry about it to Laura. Just hit ignore if people irritate you that much. It really is just an internet forum to pass the time of day.

Whilst appreciating everyone is different and without debate forums like this are pointless, hijacking every thread with racist and / or COVID denial is a really bad look. You come across as a troll / WUM. If you are then the forum is better off without you. Hijacking threads and twisting them to spout crap puts other people off and has an adverse effect on the place. But if that’s not the case then stay. The world will keep turning either way.

Log out (optional). Don't open the forum website. I think if you want your account deleting completely, you have to ask an admin to do it.
