    So, quicker second dose, the sort of surge testing for areas with an outbreak which has been happening anyway, and they still don’t know the impact of this new variant.

    Hardly worthy of a press conference. Wonder if they’ll offer surge vaccination if rates start to go up in London

    They advertised the cut off date which meant travellers didn’t have to quarantine on entry to UK, then stood and watched as airlines put on extra flights to get the COVID carriers home before that date! Genius

    So this inept government makes a stage change to the order of proceedings for today’s press conference and floods of people decide that delaying restrictions is the sensible thing to do.

    We run from threats of cancelling the game, to not being allowed in the pub, and everything else, just because of who is scheduled to appear in the briefing. Some people even accepting more lockdown before it has happened and apologising on the government’s behalf ahead of it actually happening.

    Can you not see how accepting we are of restrictions and control? The data does not support more lockdown. The virus mutating is likely to continue being a headline.

    All going well in all four parts of the UK and we can be happy here.



    What Sturgeon has done to hospitality today in parts of Scotland is the type of horrible behaviour I expect from her. All that wasted stock.

    Imagine being a pub or restaurant in Glasgow. Ordered all that food and drink. Brought your staff back from furlough. Invested in any replacement furniture. Had a deep clean. Held you team engagement meeting to get them raring to go.

    But no. It’s not happening

    Xenophobia will really kick in soon. Doesn't bother me but there's a lot of Indian people live in this country who travel back n' forth. It's the governments fault. It wants man v man. Divide n' conquer. It sickens me. Colliers, Marlon, Fonzie, Churton, Kamikaze, Hooky Feller and co warned of it. It's not India's fault or Indian nationals. This variant was always going to strike just like the previous ones. Government trying to save money instead of lives and livelihoods. Should have told all U.K Indian citizens get your arses to embassy and home but didn't want to impeach on freedoms. Oh the irony. I won't harp on about it because it's been done to death. As we get some semblence of normality in sight, another kick in teeth.
