The fact they have the business sense to open when we have a match on is a big credit to them. Also food is nice.

Pie and peas from there = lovely. Also compared to the awful offerings inside the ground, the value for money is very good.
I don’t often bother with buying food on a game day, but as i have 90 pre match minutes inside the ground, I think I shall pay the sandwich shop a visit.

Just a minutes walk from my house. Lovely food.

Can anyone remember when it was a sports shop late 80s early 90s?

It’s an institution for me. Cracking snap, fairly priced and the match day service is like a finely tuned engine. They’ve seen my lad grow up on match days, from a 6 month old toddler to a 7 year old. They know him by name and often sneak him a ten bob mix. It’s a brilliant place. I asked the boy what he was looking forward to most tonight. His answer: “Barnsley pie”

Sounds like if the comments above come to fruition. And If Social distancing is still in place. I'd suggest you get there early. Or you may have to catch a bus to the end of the queue. o_O:)

I'd forgot all about that! What was it called? Used to drive past on the way to my grandma's who lived on Pontefract Road and always wanted to go inside and have a look. Don't think I ever went in it though.

My walk to the ground used to be by the Alhambra and then along to the old sports shop. Didn't realise the shop had changed!
