Just under 8 months until he can play football again. I wonder if we’d take him back? He’s still only 23.
It would be interesting to see where he ends up. A very raw talent who with the right guidance could go on to bigger things.
Agree. At the time, he possibly was the one who was most settled in that back line. I still follow him on IG, and he’s hitting the gym everyday to keep his fitness up. He’ll be 24 when he’s able to play. I’d still take him back - he’s someone who under Big Val, could be a top defender.
Why not? Has the talent, still young and has resale value still. The time spent out of the game will make him mentally strong and even more determined to succeed.
I liked him and thought he had a lot of potential. Would suit this system. I’d have him back for sure
No ta. Missed a lot of competitive football at a key stage of development, and he failed a drugs test.
It would obviously depend on what Val thinks but the lad had potential & if he is gifted a second chance I think he would grasp it with both hands , so its a yes from me
I don’t think I’d bother. To me his biggest assets were his pace, power & athleticism & then he got popped for a performance enhancing drug. I’m not saying drugs were the only reason he was a good athlete but if they were what else does it leave? Because he wasn’t a good passer, he wasn’t good positionally & he didn’t show much improvement in his first 3 months. It’s a gamble I’d rather leave to another club. Maybe Oostende or another one of the owners clubs.
Total headless chicken. No coincidence that when he failed his drug test and Cavare was frozen out the defence looked steadier.
Love him as a bloke - seems to have an infectious personality and willingness to work hard. Shambles as a centre half though.
He was playing in a shambles of a team, loads of young kids all thrown together at the same time, look what's happened by giving them chance to develop.
7 clubs by the time you’re 23 probably tells it’s own story (plenty of pace but technically weak) it’s a no from me.
