    Someone said away goals don't count, they meant doesn't count as extra but taken literally means they don't count full stop. If that was true, then any goal we scored today wouldn't count but it would also mean Swansea's goal on Monday doesn't count either so we'd be at 0-0 and would have to hope we could take it to penalties. It's not funny if you have to explain it though :(

    What he meant to say was there is no advantage if scores are drawn with having an away goal. What he actually said was away goals don't count ie, if you score then that goal wouldn't count as a goal.

    Going back to my original post, the commentator said that away goals don't count. Not that away goals don't count as double or whatever people usually say.
