When the ref is so blatantly biased towards the opposition, time after time the Swansea players had hold of our players shirts and nothing given, time after time when a Barnsley player fairly challenged a Swansea player the Swansea player screamed out in mock pain and was given a free kick. The refs actions prevented us getting up a head of steam and so killed our game. A ref doesn't have to give dodgy penalties and wrongly Sean people off to influence a result he can do it in a much more subtle way just like today's ref did.
We didn't play as well as we have in previous games this season but that was because the combination of the Swansea players and a biased ref stopped us doing so.

Absolute and utter crap. The best team won across the two legs. We can be big enough to admit that. We'd have grabbed this at the start of the season.

Moment that annoyed me the most was the Morris so called foul when he was clearly obstructed it was a foul the other way. Lost my crap at that one.

It’s not all utter crap though is it. When we got that goal against Rotherham many on here here were arguing we won because of a poor reffing decision. I argued that Rotherham didn’t lose because of that but they missed several other chances for that decision not to matter. So I’ll say we lost this tie because of a poor reffing decision. but no, Swansea was the better team. hypocrisy on this board at times is unbelievable

Sorry but this is ridiculous, it's all the refs fault, blah blah blah. We weren't quite good enough over the two legs but yet again Barnsley fans finding someone else to blame. Comes across as rather bitter. The performances over the two legs are frustrating because when we got the ball down and played a bit we looked fairly decent.

The obstruction got me - even the commentator said, if that's on the halfway line, we get the free kick.

The ref was awful today. Completely conned by Swansea. But we had the chances in the first game and in the end came up short. All done now so here's to next season COYR!!!!

Or when they booted the ball away at every opportunity or jumped down holding there heads to get the game stopped when in reality they never took a knock to head and the ref let them

We weren’t at our best in both legs but the officiating from the officials has to be questioned a clearly offside goal in the first leg then the free kick that never was leading to their goal

You're entitled to argue that. But I disagree with you. I think the referees in both Championship second legs today performed very well. We lacked the guile and quality of a team that has spent most of the last ten years in the Premier League. We've had a great season. Arguably in the top four or five seasons in our history. No need for us to go bleating about referees - it's the simple facts of life.

Honestly think time keeping should be taken away from refs. It’s pointless they add time on teams continue to waste time and then they end the game at allotted time despite it meant to be a minimum amount.

We have a right to be bitter at the poor officials and shithousery by Swansea. Irrespective of how we play

I lost count of the number of times we lost the ball losing full control of the ball during foul play. The ref pulling it back when it happened to them. Poor ref regardless of how we played.
Their defence tbf looked the most solid of any I’ve seen this season. And had our forwards struggling to break through. We couldn’t break em down.

We didn’t lose because of the ref but we also didn’t lose because we were the worst team over two legs. Sometimes it’s just the moments of quality (that the wages they are paying compared to ours) afford them.

also they played horrible anti football.

    come on Brentford

There’s every need to bleat on about referees when they make poor decisions that lead to a major event in the game. A simple fact of life to me is to say so when you believe something is wrong or unfair.

Swansea reffed the game as always. The shielding one with Morris was an absolute joke, Morris got a toe on the ball if anything! Constant time wasting, constant falling over and the ref fell for it 99% of the time.

Not why we lost though. They had their 2 moments of quality in our final third.

But both came from mistakes by the officials
Ayew offside in first leg then Lowe fouled helik and was given the free kick from which they scored
