I'm honestly thrilled with the Eurovision result - an actual established band that did well with both the jury vote and the public vote. Deserved winners.
A truly cringeworthy event, as far removed from real music and musical talent its possible to get, that being said an estimated audience of 180 million, so if it gives pleasure let it alone, I've just seen on the news our entry got the dreaded nil points, what did he sing? Sheffield Wednesdays club song?
Nil points, should have just entered Michael Gove doing karaoke whilst coked up. He would have fitted in quite nicely.
Italy won because they were brave in their choice of song. To me it was a fairly unremarkable rock song, and I am a rock fan, but it was different to the usual euro pop dross that countries send to the competition. The UK? We chose another sub standard dance number which, although it didn't deserve last place, it didn't deserve top 10/15 either. Brexit hasn't helped - we are not particularly liked around Europe, but at least if we had a song that actually had a chance of winning we could justifiably complain about anti British bias.
Not something I have ever really take interest in. Just thought the images of someone doing a line on a event televised across Europe was rather amusing.
You think we’re disliked in Europe because of Brexit? We were disliked long before Brexit mainly our intolerance of foreigners unless they were coming to give us some service and as long as they went home after .
Bad that uk wasn't cracking but far from the worse. Definitely a political agenda from racist Europe lol
