How good was he when he came in yesterday? Like big val planted a rocked in his arse. He made us look like scoring by actually beating a man. Fair play to him
Yes, if Mowatt leaves then Brittain and Styles will likely be playing in midfield. I think we should be looking to strengthen at left back.
First couple of months of the season, admittedly we weren’t great as a collective, but I thought Jordan Williams was our best player. He seems to take a bit of stick for whatever reason but I’d like to see a bit more of him next season. Hard to choose between him and Brittain (who I love) but Williams offers more pace than anyone else in our squad.
He was good yesterday great run from his own half to set up woodrow. Shame he has been injured alot of the season.
Jordan Williams has had a bad season injury wise. Let's hope he stays injury free next season and we may see the best of him.
Stunning run to set up the goal. Avoiding a couple of tackles. I don’t get this not good enough by some folk.
This past month I've really become a full member of the Jordan Williams fan club. He looks better every time I see him. Just as Dike added brawn, Williams adds the turbos.
He's been good since we returned from the first lockdown to finish off last season. He had quite a few runs like that towards the back end of last year. He was widely regarded as our most consistent performer before his injury, about 8 games into this season. Understandably, with the form of Brittain, he's struggled to get back into the side, but he's an important player to have. Very very underrated.
He linked up well with Styles during the back end of the promotion season. I'm surprised they aren't used in tandem.
I think in general his cameos have been great when he has come back in. I think he is a bit too inconsistent to nail a regular slot for me, but if he plays where he gets forward like Saturday and still defends crosses / the flank then he could be a good player. We have certainly given up less crosses and broken up more attacks from Brittain. I think Williams has either been excellent (like Saturday) or poor (like Bournemouth) and he needs to get a level (10-20 games) of consistency. I think we can accept during a season the odd bad game of some tired legs now and again.
He was class under Struber. I remember the game against Huddersfield at home that season when we beat them. He was our best player that day. Unlucky to be out the side, that cameo showcased what he can offer to the team still - also excited to see what kitching can do. His brief appearance showed a bit of pace and height as well as a decent long range pass.
