    Val said we dont score enough from chances created.

    Fox in the box striker.. 264 goals in his career. Yes he is 31 but unless we spend big bucks what other options are there for this division?

    Have you seen the work rate we demand from our front players?

    I’ve given up suggesting players these days. None of us could have named Pinnock, Brittain, Styles, Morris, Woodrow, Dike, Hourihane, etc.

    Just got to have faith in the recruitment and the coaching once they get here.

    The work rate of our attacking players doesn't generate anywhere near enough goals though. So maybe someone who knows where the net is on a regular basis even if he's a bit slower and older than our usual signings might be the answer.

    For all the work rate the goal return from the likes of Adeboyejo Freiser Chaplin and Schmidt isnt good enough.

    His wages are zero as he's out of contract and in the current climate and as a ageing player his next salary will be a significant drop.

    And a style of play is irrelevant to transfer targets I’m guessing?

    He’s massively on the slide and I’d be surprised if he reaches double figures again in his career without dropping down the leagues. All whilst still commanding £15k a week and the rest.

    Our days of signing players like that are long gone.
