Mick Clarke went on a run down the left down to the corner flag he lost the ball and chased the right back upto the half way line, the ball broke free and Clarke went on another rampaging run unfortunately it came to nothing again and he ended up running back to help the defence out. The ball then dropped to Gwyn Thomas who looked towards Mick Clarke to send him off again down the left, Mick looked at Gwyn put his hands on his knees bent over blowing and said Dunt pass to me Im fxcked. We were young lads stood on the halfway line of the Brewery Stand, it made us laugh and it stuck with me ever since. Is there a story attached to your BBS name ?
I'd always liked yours - interesting to know it's got a specific origin! Mine is just a videogame reference. I've had one or two different ones over the years on these boards - suspect I was just thinking about the game when I had to make a new one.
Mines incredibly dull and obvious and based on where I have lived for over 20 years can’t really change it now
Shed 131 came about due to the fact the house I lived in at the time was number 131 and at the time I was working for North Sea ferries..my cabin number was also 131 and whilst on board we referred to our cabins as sheds.....
Back in 1993 I needed a username for the university messaging service so I picked something that would give maximum misdirection, i.e. Bud Mustang is the opposite of the quiet lad from Barnsley. Bud Mustang likes fast cars and guns. Bud Mustang has a toothpick hanging out the side of his mouth. Peely on the other hand is more interested in fish and chips.
in the 81 census whilst in the army i put jedi down for religon just for a laugh and have done ever since
I chose the first random name that came into my head when selecting an internet pseudonym way back when. No logic, no interesting back story. My real name is Chris.
As a longtime fan of Bill Nelson, I chose one of his song titles. It seemed to suit me. Plus the lyric sums up my drivel... "I've got nothing to say and I'm saying it"
I always struggle to come up with usernames and the teaching forum I used to frequent before it closed had people with random names such as pink_flip_flop. I decided to go random and remembered those biscuits with jam in that was the very first thing I remember baking at school. A username was then made.
As a kid my uncle used to buy me a season ticket for the West stand and I always remember the smell of Hotbovril and the glow of the refreshment bar on cold winter matches. Later in life I used to deliver empty jars to the the Bovril factory and the smell always made me think of those nights.
There was a fantasy football league at the Stocksbridge Steel Works during our Premier League season. One of the teams was called Just Like Watching Big Lil.
