INTERVIEW | ADI MOSES Interviews Former Reds defender Adi Moses praised his old club for a wonderful campaign during which they racked up 23 wins and amassed 78 points en route to securing a play-off spot. Continue reading on the official site...
Nice one Adie. I used to love him playing and putting his hand up to Watto in goal and half the time it meant he'd clear and half the time meant for Watto to come for it! I'm sure they had some secret code, but I couldn't work it out lol
Decent interview. He's on the same page as Dane Murphy and a lot of fans thinking we've skipped a step last season and mid table would be a good season next year. I doubt Mowatt will want to hear that.
"I’m all for playing football the right way but, ultimately for me, it’s all about winning games and about getting three points."
Well, dare I say it? More positivity on the Club website! This time it's not from Dane the Yank giving it massive super / over-hyped (according to some) ultra optimism leading us down the garden path of false promises. This time its positivity from a Yorkshireman. Even Yorkshiremen and women look like they could be buying into the great strides the club has made recently, whilst maintaining a good common sense Yorkshire approach, knowing that our hopes and dreams for the future might not be instantly achievable tomorrow or the day after; knowing that we have people at the Club who want to take us forward and beyond what we achieved last season. This opinion might be in direct conflict with the stereotypical view of us Yorkshire lads and lasses, but the optimism emanating from within the Club which is now permeating into the fan base is a wonder to behold. Barnsley. Yorkshire. Where the folk are wrongly stereotyped but where the folk are positive. With a direct nod to Duvall in Apocalypse now "I love the smell of positivity in the morning. It smells like victory." All joined up. Top to Bottom. Bottom to top.
I really didn't get that message. Dane to me seemed positive & realistic. The point was also made that the price is down for player sales on the market, so the club won't sell under those conditions. If we sell when a proper offer comes in. I was a huge critic of the Pinnock sale. The club must see they got that wrong & won't get their fingers burned again. PS, good interview, with Adi. Much underrated for me in his time with us.
