Defensive “masterclass“ each week then for West Brom. Sounds like they didn’t want to pay any compensation, ruling Val out.
Wagner has been a disaster since he kept Huddersfield up. A horrific second season in the Premier League with them (which, I suppose, was always possible) but the way he car-crashed a huge club in Schalke, would be very concerning if I supported West Brom.
Did a fine job at Hudds but they had a lot of luck along the way. Only side promoted to the PL with a negative goal difference and also won through the play offs with two penalty shoot outs.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57408245 As of five minutes ago when the article was posted he was the new front runner but not actually got it yet. He would be a really poor choice. He shouldn't still be dining out on one successful season.
He’s one of them managers that looks like he got lucky for a couple of years then can’t back it up. You’d think this job is make or break for him. Rather WBA take the chance than us.
In Wagner’s defence he overachieved at Huddersfield and Schalke were in real decline before he took the job. His teams aren’t exactly fun to watch but for so many of us on here to completely dismiss him seems a bit odd.
