The post in question said singing wasn't allowed. It said nothing of where. That Edgbaston yesterday was in full cry and there was no attempt to stop them, it shows that singing is not an illegal act. That Oakwell was louder than with a full crowd for the playoff game. Nobody is trying to say its like pre pandemic. But its not like 1984 with thought police at every turn. So please stop trying to make small instances seem like a blanket catch all when its absolutely not true. It's not helping anyone is it?
Right now I should have been at Manchester Airport en route to Bali, but I'm playing golf instead, food festival in Ilkley tomorrow, BBQ with family Sunday. We are literally prisoners
Me too it was for our 40ths. No point in dwelling on it though. Life's too short. Going to south coast next week and i'll be proposing to her there instead
So someone goes to hospital for something else, catches covid and gets put as a covid stat that makes things look worse than they are when they are likely not ill. Barely 150 on ventilators in our 66 million country. Crackers that delays are still be talked about.
Is that the Toby Young who said that there would be no second wave and that deaths wouldn't increase passed 200 a day this past January? The one who deletes all his old tweets? That one?
I'm not scared. Just responsible. You clearly are not responsible and would happily risk someone else's life so you can do what you want.
I have got 15 gigs booked in between now and September. Just booked the Courteeners at Old Trafford 30 minutes ago.
What have you got booked? Pretty much every gig i've seen has been shifted back to the start of September at the earliest. A lot of the ones i booked have been shifted into next year.
got Shed 7, Specials, Chic, Manic street preachers, Richard Hawley, The Cribs, Wedding Present, Tramlines, sleeper. - can’t remember rest off the top of my head. Quite a few rolled over from last year.
I think my last two gigs (and it is a while back now) were Shed Seven on their maximum high tour and then Sleeper supporting Garbage who did Kew in the Park (random crowd but great music). Enjoy.
I’m no fan of Shed 7 on record but they are a good live band. Can’t say I’ve thought about Sleeper since the 90s but a mate wanted to go. Pre pandemic I went to 3 or 4 a week. That and eating out are both something I will be cutting back on post pandemic. Too old for that **** now.
